Training

Getting Started As a Leader:

There are two courses that are considered essential for all Girl Scout leaders. If you are a new leader, you should complete them at your earliest opportunity, and ideally within your first three (3) months.

Every troop/group must have at least one volunteer trained in Introduction to Girl Scouting at River Bluffs and Program Level. These two courses comprise the Basic Leadership Training. Leadership training courses are to be completed within three months of assuming active leadership. It is recommended that all volunteers that work with girls be trained leaders.

Did You Know...

The Edwardsville Glen Carbon Service Unit has a monthly meeting for leaders to receive and  share Girl Scout information?  All parents of registered girls are invited and encouraged to attend and find out what is going on in our area.  If you are interested in attending one of our meetings, please let us know by using the email above.  Be sure to include your name and your daughter's troop number and leader's name.  One of our Service Unit Managers will get back to you with the meeting information!!  (please allow 2-5 days for a response!)
